Team Structure and Descriptions
Each Team structures itself as it chooses provided that the members elect or appoint a Team Leader each year.
The Team Leader’s responsibility is to report to the general membership on the Team’s activities, and to survey Team Members as to what they want to do with their special interest group, including what kind of help (labor or monetary) they might need.
The Team Leader presents this information to the Board in January and when approved, organizes Team Members to implement their special interest throughout the year. As new interests or expenditures come up, the Team Leader interacts with the Board for approval.
A Team must have at least two members. If an existing special interest Team has less than two members, The Team and the special interest is dropped for the year.
Any DGC member can be a member of any Team and as many Teams as they choose.
A DGC member may elect to be a member of any and/or all Teams while simultaneously serving as an elected officer.
Any member may change Teams, add or subtract Team membership during the year provided the Team Leader notifies the President of such changes.
No Team can elect to disbar a member.
All Teams must track their own budget expenditures. No Team requires the approval of the entire membership for its activities and expenses, however all Teams must obtain Board approval for expenditures beyond their budget.
All Team Leaders should create and maintain a history/lessons learned book of their activities for future Team Leader’s use.
