President’s Message
We had perfect weather for our meeting that was held at Choral’s house, the beautiful grounds of “Raccoon Hollow”. Prior to the start of our meeting we had a great speaker, Lisa Murphy, who spoke on 6 beneficial herbs for your health that you can grow in your garden. It was very informative with lots of questions from members.
The Christian Life Center church in Pollock Pines has Iris plants that they do not want anymore and have offered them to us to plant on Daffodil Hill. The best time to dig them up is in July; once dug up, they can be separated and trimmed before replanting on Daffodil Hill in September.
Help is needed for the digging, trimming and planting. Jeanne Harper suggested the perhaps we could get the Boy Scouts to help us with the digging and planting, so that is a possibility. BUT we still need members to help. No date has been set for digging up; please let me know if you could possibly help with this project.
Enjoy your summer!
Hugs,
Maureen
