-Norma Ray
2nd- Sue Granno
2025 Final Treasurer Report – Anne Mintmier-
We had to pay off some costs from the previous year due to a dumpster fee coming in late.
See attached notes of expenditures for 2025.
Other Money Matters:
Theresa shared about a small school raising money for DC and had requested to be given a
table at our Christmas Craft Fair. When there was no room for them we as a club issued a
check for $300. Theresa gave a group apology that this was authorized without checking with
the club first. She offered to reimburse the club since she had not done it properly and said it would not be an issue in the future. The club members accepted her apology. Lexa moved to approve the giving of the money and Jeri 2nd approved the spending of the money. A vote was
called and universally approved.
The Sugarloaf Art Camp was discussed. We reached out to Sugarloaf Art Camp about offering a partial scholarship for a Pollock Pines student. We will vote in the fall on whether we will be adding them to our nonprofits list for next year. This year it is a free-will gift from members. We have a donation jar for if anyone would like to contribute towards giving a donation towards a student this coming summer. The camp focuses on dance, music production recording, music, photography, textile arts, theater arts, video arts, At our meeting today $4 was donated. We will have the box out at the March Mtg. if any of you would like to give towards this worthwhile scholarship. We would love to be able to give a 50% scholarship which would be $300.
2026 Draft Budget -Ann/Theresa Looking forward.
Judy Morgan Park was an expense where we have eliminated the dumpster fee. $50. Was left
in the ‘26 budget to purchase the green waste bags to use in cleaning up. They will be stored in the DGC shed. We cut a huge cost to our club by having members taking home the green waste for pick up with their green waste instead of paying for a dumpster for 3 months.
News & Questions on Future Events:
Logging Days is being removed from the calendar since it did not prove to be a moneymaker.
Instead, to replace this fundraiser we are having a Spring Craft Fair in the Pines. One day only, May 2nd at the Old School. There will be food, bake sale and raffle just like the Christmas Fair. Norma will orchestrate and do publicity. Allison will do food, Jan decorations, Becky the raffle. Alva will assist with the vendors. Norma is thinking $30 for each booth instead of $35 since it is only one day. Previous vendors will be emailed. 25 Tables is what we think there will be. The assembled members agreed yes to this.
We are waiting for the PPC church board to decide if our 4th of July bake sale can be at the church this year to get more buyers. The church will decide in May.
Maureen went to the EID Board and asked for assistance in paying for the plants in the Jenkinson Lake Planter since the cost of them has seen a great jump. A member of the board
sent us a check for $200 when the EID board declined. A thank you card was signed by those
present to send to the donator of this generous gift.
Theresa asked do we want to continue to do Granny Elves? People have not been signing up for
the last two years. It was said that if we set up the shop and provided cookies that would be
enough and we don’t need to do the children interaction/shopping part. The illness usually
running through the school during this time does not make for a healthy place for people in our age group to go to be present with the children. Carol G. gave a motion to still donate money, cookies, and set up help but not the child walk through part. Sue G. gave a 2nd and the motion was voted on and carried. Lauren and her band of bakers will continue baking beautifully hand painted cookies for both our local after-school program but for the Camino School as well. The children love them and we are so appreciative of the great amount of creative work that this team provides so generously.
Do we want to place the Post Office Maintenance of the planter on our list? We went two
times last year. We need a lead coordinator for this. It was decided to be shelved for later
conversation. We would need to clean the boxes at least two times a year.
Coordinators for 2026 – Theresa – We need volunteers to head up or be supporters for
activities/fund raisers – Please see all the sign up sheets and add your name as possible to
assist.
Sunshine – Jeri Hartman – There has been no information on anyone sick at this time. Jeri is
working on reaching out to members who have not attended any meetings over the past year.
We want them to know they are not forgotten. If you know of anyone who could use
encouragement then let Jeri know.
Membership – Maureen
2026 dues are due by February 15, 2026. Pay today or mail in to Anne M.
March meeting and future programs – Theresa/Shelly
Jan 16th there was a planning meeting to decide meeting locations and speakers. All were
invited to attend and or give input. Some email suggestions came in. 10 people attended, plus Shelly was online from out of town. A tentative calendar of locations and speakers was created at this time. After that Shelly phoned and made contact with each location to make our reservations. She spoke with our list of speakers and made changes as were necessary. Some locations were not available and plans had to be changed. She then followed up with each vendor in writing with our arrival time, date and if we would be given a tour.
Updated Members Meeting List:
March meeting is the Plant Lady at Becky’s House (see roster). Directions: Sly Park Rd to one mile past the lake. Turn right onto Sierra Springs Rd. Left onto
Begonia and an immediate right onto Daisy. Where Daisy turns into a circle and you may go left
or right her house is the black and white one at the T.
Shelly asked what topic we would like to have the plant lady speak on?
The reply was:
* that pruning would be good,
*What to do with confused plants because of our warm weather now in winter?
*Native Plants for our area. The Plant Lady has since cancelled with us as she is double-booked so we have a butterfly specialist coming to speak.
There will be a RAFFLE at the March meeting so bring you raffle money and an item to donate
if you have something to bless us with.

Hangtown Posse. Husbands are welcome. We will be meeting in a back room and ordering lunch
there after the meeting. Separated checks are provided.

meeting.

Nov. – Potluck at the PPC Church
Dec. – Christmas Party (location to be determined)
Christmas Dinner – we are getting a price for the Shakespeare Club
Food-Italian
Dessert – Do we want it provided or a hostess provided item as in last year? It was suggested
to get tiramisu from Costco. We have a committee who is planning next year’s event. Ticket Price covers food and Allison’s tip. Allison didn’t want the tip but it is the right thing.
Last year was $45. If we kept it at that price it would all be paid for with ticket pricing and
for the first time the club wouldn’t have to pay for the music and the building.
Raffle – March, June, September, Oct
The raffle will now have a bucket next to each raffle item. You will place your tickets into the
buckets next to the item that you would like to win. You may spread your tickets out over
several buckets or flood one. This should speed up the process. A ticket drawn and the item
handed over. Easy peasy. This also gives you the choice of choosing where your winning ticket
should go.
Outings other than meetings –
Sidetrippers -Theresa/Becky
Let Becky know if you have any side trip you are planning on doing for the upcoming month that you wish to invite other members to go with you. Becky will send that information out about a week after the meeting along with the Meeting Minutes. No side trips were shared this month.
OTHER NEWS;
Norma asked if we want to have a corporate membership for the community center.
We can think about this and bring it up at a future meeting for a vote. We already donate
money to them each year as well as share proceeds from the Christmas Craft Fair. The group
wanted more time to consider.
