Hello Ladies,
Wow what a month we have had! First we had a fabulous meeting at Green Acres, followed by the 4th of July Bake Sale and then Logging Day and the Caldor Fire Monument dedication. Our little community has been busy.
What a great meeting it was at Green Acres. Greg not only entertained us, but also provided valuable info on the gardening challenges we face in Pollock Pines. See the previously sent Minutes email from Becky L. with not only meeting minutes, but info on Greg’s presentation.
We had a record breaking profit of $488 at the 4th of July bake sale. What really put this bake sale over-the-top are 2 things:
Ms Lauren had pre-bake sales of $120.00 before we even set up. Awesome! She sold 4 sets of her box of beautiful cookies. THANK YOU Lauren!
Ms Laura who ran the wagon and sold $121.00. These 2 ladies are responsible for 1/2 our total bake sale. THANK YOU THANK YOU.
If you missed the Caldor Fire dedication on Saturday, please take the time to go and see it. It is located right in front of Fire Station 17. When it was unveiled I got goosebumps and my eyes welled up with tears. It was very emotional.
Our next meeting is August 5th at Bluestone Meadow Farm with the owner sharing beekeeping information with us. A separate email with details will be forthcoming.
