Hello Ladies!
This year is flying by, it’s almost April. I’m sure a lot of us are getting excited to get outside and get our hands in the dirt!
Kicking off Spring we will be visiting the goats again this year at Jollity Goat Farm in Garden Valley. I’ve heard it was a lot of fun from those who went back in May 2019 and asked if we could go back again this year. Ginger went last week for a pre visit and said there are lots of new babies, some triplets.
The county has put some restrictions on the farm and they are no longer able to allow visitors to use their restrooms. They have been so kind as to rent a Porta Potty just for our visit. Let’s make a good show of us to make this worth their while!! 🙂 They are also building a new barn that should be done by our visit, if there is rain we will have shelter! They are also requesting we call them one week ahead with count of how many of us will be there. So please RSVP as soon as possible. I will send out another reminder for the RSVP with responses back no later than Tuesday, March 29th.
Carpooling~
We will carpool as much as possible. Anyone wanting to drive and has room for others, or if you want a ride with someone, meet at the parking lot by Judy Morgan Park and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts store at 9:15 am. Drivers will need to leave by 9:45 am to get to the goat farm, park & get to the meeting area. No guarantee you will get a ride, so please plan to drive if no ride is available. Check with your friends ahead of time for a ride if needed. Ginger has given us the easiest way to get there, she suggests going Cold Springs Rd., not Hwy 49 or Why 193. It will take about 50 minutes. Her instructions are below.

Photographer Needed~
I realized last month that we should be documenting our meetings, events and activities with pictures. If anyone (or two) would like to volunteer to take pictures at our events let me know! It would be great to update our website with some newer pictures and maybe use some in our future brochure.
Directions~
This is the most direct way to get to the Jollity Goat farm. Do not take highway 193.
From highway 50 exit towards the Home Depot. Turn right on Coldsprings Road and follow it until you come to the Coloma. Continue across the bridge and through the stop light. Turn right at the green sign Marshall. As you drive up the hill note the Winery at the top of the mountain on the left with a great view. Continue through the little community of Green Valley. You will see a green sign for Greenwood Road and turn left. You will see a sign for Jollity Farm Goat Dairy and some green gates on the left side of the road. Go through the green gates and up the hill parking at the top of the hill near the barn and store. There is also plenty of parking near the trees.
Any questions feel free to contact me.
Hope to see you there.
Debbie
