PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
A new year is upon us and it will DGC’s 55th year!
I want to welcome our new Member, Deanna Jackson, who is new to our community. Deanna is looking forward to being active in our wonderful community of PP!
The club has changed over the years, but the CORE of the club has not. We are a varied group that still supports our Community and LOVE to have fun!

To continue supporting our endeavors, it does take a “village”! Over the years a handful or Members have been the ones to take on the primary responsibilities of the DGC and they want to be involved, but not as leaders; we need Members to “step up”. The Garden, Decorating and Craft Team need Team Leaders. There is no Historian, which creates the years scrap book.. Norma Ray is the Fundraising Team Leader, but no one  else has signed up.
If we do not get Team Leaders, a Historian and Fundraising members, then we will not be able to have the activities that each of theses teams do and we just become a social club. ……..And that maybe is the direction the club is going?
You should have received the email regarding the February 3rd meeting; please attend, so as a group, we can decide the direction of the club for 2016.
For the February Meeting  there are a few things going on:
  • Please bring you xmas bags and tissue paper to recycle for the Boys & Girls Club Xmas store this year
  • Ideas to share for our 2016 meetings (i.e. winery, Apple Hill again? )
  • There will be Friends of the Library renewal forms- membership is $10. Remember, our bylaws state we support the PP Library.
  • The Pollock Pines Community Church Food Closet is running very low; food is given out every Friday to the less fortunate in our community. Please bring non-perishables and their special needs are: canned goods of soups, tuna, chili, meals, veggies and fruit. Sandra Morgan will take our donations to the church after our meeting.

Hugs!

Maureen
