PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Greetings Fellow DGCers!
Spring has sprung! Yay! We couldn’t have asked for better weather at our April meeting at Jollity Goat Farm. The sun was out, the cheese was fabulous and the baby goats were mostly hungry and there were plenty to go around. Big thanks to Charley and MaryLisa at the goat farm and to Allison for putting it all together.
We have 3 big fundraising events coming up in June and July. Wagon Train bake sale on Friday, June 7th from 10-4. We will have an opportunity to enjoy the festivities, we will have shade and if it’s really hot we will have a fan! We need 5-6 people to sell stuff and as many people as possible to bake goodies – any kind! Debbie Bybee-Crumpley has agreed to be point person for the Independence Day bake sale. Last year this sale made around $1000 so it’s a big money maker for us but the only way to make money is to have goodies to sell. Debbie will need people to sell from the booth, run around selling water and baked goods from wagons and lots of people to bake. Carol Game is going to organize the plant sale to be held at Logging Days on July 20th. More info to come on that one. All help with these activities is really needed and greatly appreciated.
I hope to see everyone at our next meeting at High Sierra Iris and Wedding Gardens 3170 Hassler Rd in Camino. The meeting will start at 10:30 with the social half hour. Please bring a lunch and a chair. Enjoy your Spring!
