Greetings Fellow DGCers!
It feels like Fall and it feels good! We had an absolutely lovely meeting at Apple Ridge Farms in Camino. The weather was nice, the food was great, we had a good turn out and the flowers were blasting off! Raylene and Joan from the County Commission on Aging presented an amazing amount of information in a half hour, plus they had flyers for us to take home. I was surprised at all the services the county provides to older people, and it’s free! If you missed the meeting, Theresa included contact information in the minutes. Thank you, Allison, for arranging this meeting.
We still have quite a few activities before the end of the year – 2 more meetings, a board election, donation distribution, Julia Morgan Park clean-ups, Boys and Girls Club Christmas Store, the craft fair and our fun Christmas Party. More information on all these activities will be coming down the pike.
I will not be at the October meeting at Debbie Bybee-Crumpley’s house. Our Vice President, Allison Knight will take the lead which will include a presentation and critters from the Sierra Wildlife Rescue people and a raffle!
Happy Fall!
Norma Ray
President
