• Hello Ladies,
WOW I Can’t believe that May is almost over.  I hope everyone has been busy getting their gardens all prettied up now that the snow is over, well I think it’s over, since we just got hail the other day!!!    My veggie garden isn’t worse for the wear!!!
For those that didn’t make the meeting at The Meadow Nursery, it was a small group, weather was very iffy, and we had a new member join, Ms Laura Schmitz.
We talked about the May 2nd Spring Craft Faire and what a success it was for our club/community.   We had a net profit of $1,303.34, which will all go back into the community.  That was a good idea to have this event, THANK YOU NORMA for the idea and all the hard work that you did to get this event up, running and successful.  More THANK YOUs are in order for this event, where to begin:  Allison Knight fabulous food, Debbie Bybee-Crumpley and Carol Game -Bake Sale table was beautiful and very professional. Becky Lamoly for the Raffle. Set up/take down crew – Carol & Bob Game, Debbie & Dan Crumpley, Val & Steve Laam, Allison & Bobby Knight, Theresa & Mark Magnuson, Jan & Mike Slominski, Elva Rizzo, Sue Granno,  Marylyn Johnson, bakers/sellers and all the rest of the garden club!!!!  I know I forgot some names, but as you can see it takes a whole lot of us to put one of these events on and ALL VOLUNTEERS are very much APPRECIATED.
Our next event is Wagon Train on June 5th.  Ms. Debbie is still in need of volunteers to work mid shift 1100am -1:30pm  See email from Becky Lamoly dated May 20th for more details on what is still needed.
June’s meeting is on June 3rd, it will be at Sherwood Demonstration Garden in Placerville, if you were with us last year we had this scheduled for April and mother nature decided to give us an ice storm, so we only had a few folks show up.  I’m hoping we have more members show up, as they are opening this up just for us to get a tour, but also have our meeting/lunch there as well.   Meeting details to follow in a separate email.
Patty Noble needs help keeping up with dead-heading of the flowers at the front gate of Jenkinson Lake,    You park to the right, before entrance.
